President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
According to Dr. Doyin Okupe, a former director general of the Peter Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Organization, President Bola Tinubu's administration has regularly exceeded Nigerians' expectations.
Okupe praised Tinubu's handling of the country's economic difficulties and his dedication to important causes including debt reduction and social welfare in a statement released on Sunday.
In response to Tinubu's Sunday national broadcast on economic hardship, Okupe emphasized the administration's accomplishments and continuous initiatives to enhance living standards and stability in the economy.
"President Bola Tinubu's speech has not disappointed Nigerians," observed Okupe. The President presented a clear picture of the unstable economic environment his administration inherited for the first time.

He underlined the government's efforts to lower the crushing debt servicing ratio from 97% to 68%, saying that this was necessary because there might have been tremendous borrowing if the fuel subsidy had remained in place.
The minimum wage was more than doubled from N30,000 to N70,000 per month, Okupe continued. "The speech highlighted notable achievements, including the commitment of over N45 billion to the student loan scheme, the increase in national oil production to over 1.6 million barrels per day, and significant funding for MSMEs and youth development programs." In a statement acquired by PUNCH Online on Sunday and published on his X handle, @doyinokupe, Okupe also commended the government's efforts to reduce food inflation and the cost of life by temporarily importing food and decreasing taxes on necessities.
He commended the President for recognizing individuals' freedom to demonstrate and urged Nigerians to hold state and local governments responsible for their revenue inflows.
"The false information on President Tinubu's capacity to manage economic difficulties has been refuted by this speech. We now have more optimism for a better future for all Nigerians because of it," Okupe said.
